Now, where were we? Of course our KAIZEN oriented tricks. This is 5 tips to becoming happier:

1. LEARN TO ACCEPT AND FORGIVE

One of the hardest things to do but one of the most important is to learn how to accept and forgive. A major reason to why many people are unhappy or hold grudges is because they have a refusal to accept. Without acceptance and forgiveness you simply can’t move forward. Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up based on the situation you feel is our of control, on the contrary it is the wisdom to discern when to act on things when needed, and when to realize what you can’t change. Holding on to negative feelings toward yourself or others is only going to stimulate further negativity and stop you from progressing. Forgiveness, therefore, frees you and destroys that negative link.

2. VISUALISE THE BEST

“Visualisation works most powerfully when you realize that it is already a reality on the unseen level. It’s already there.” – Eckhart Tolle

Never, ever be afraid to look at what you really want and see you getting it. The truth is that imagining getting what you want is a big part of achieving it. There are many ways in which you can help visualize a dream, goal or desire. One way is to create a visual board consisting of images that represent the things that you aspire to achieve such as starting a new project, going hard at the gym, purchasing an item you truly seek or becoming a better public speaker. Your thoughts, emotions, words and feelings determine your attitude, which is why it is critical to entertain positive thoughts only. Visualize your desires every morning and persevere through your actions and you will be one step closer to the best version of yourself.

 3. ENJOY WHAT YOU DO & DO WHAT YOU ENJOY

Ask yourself. Is what I am doing at this particular moment engaging me enough to make me feel happy? If the answer is no you should probably make a change! There is no sense in reading any more of our KAIZEN features if you feel stuck in a job or situation that does not bring you happiness. If you spend your time with the people and things you love you will find greater happiness as the positivity felt within will resonate to numerous areas of your life.

4. BE AROUND PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU SMILE

Smiles are addictive! In fact, studies have shown that we are happiest when we are around those who are also happy. Stick with those who are joyful and let that rub off on you. As they say, your tribe reflects your vibe, which is why it is so important to spend time with good positive company.

5. MEDITATE

All of the 4 tips that you have just read are so much easier to achieve if you give your heart and mind a little push by means of meditation. Engaging in regular meditation enhances your resolve to accept and forgive and banish these negative feelings from your life. By finding a comfortable, quiet spot each day to meditate, you will soon find that what seemed previously insurmountable disappears or becomes easier to manage.
“The thing about meditation is: you become more and more you.” – David Lynch

Hopefully, through these suggestions you are able to focus on finding even more happiness in your every day life. To all our Dutch readers, have a wonderful Kings Day and remember to equip yourself with a KANE watch that suits you and your style.
